If you haven't seen one of those "Cost of War" counters on the internet lately, click here to check out how fast it is escalating! And recognize that the astounding figure you just saw only takes into account the fake dollars (more on those later) we pass around. Just think of the real people who've left real families behind. And think of those who have lost real arms and legs in this fustercluck. Are you ready to cry yet? No? Well, what's wrong with you?!
If you won't cry for those soldiers and their families, will you cry for your children and grandchildren who will be left to suffer our enormous financial debt? Heck, for that matter, the fang-gnashing demon with the dollar-sign eyes just might spring up to bite us all in the buns before some of you even have children and grandchildren.
Without my having to go into the sordid details, I'm sure you can already sense my opinion of the war. So now I'll get on with making my point, which is really about money and deception.
Some of us get a bit irked when we think about how our tax dollars go to support a war we were never jazzed about in the first place. But it's worse than that. Our tax dollars don't even fund the war. Our tax money is used to pay the interest on funding the war. That's right. I'll say it again. Our tax dollars are used to pay the interest on what we've borrowed (mostly from China) to fund the war and cover other expenses.
And so now let's talk about tax money, shall we?
What would you think if I told you the IRS is technically not an "agency" of the federal government, as that term is defined in the Freedom of Information Act and in the Administrative Procedures Act -- and that it's more likely a collection agency for foreign banks? Would you be aghast? Well, get this... the Internal Revenue Service is Trust #62, chartered in Puerto Rico. I know, I know. All over the country, the IRS has big, fancy, governmental-looking buildings with scrolly things on the outside and marble floors, but please -- see for yourself.
And yet, when the IRS needs enforcers to do their collection agency business, the feds help them out. Maybe they're suckers like the rest of us. Or maybe there's something more sinister at play.
Could it be that the "evil tax evaders" (as portrayed by the government and the media) are actually onto something?
Tax protesters might be onto several things.
-- Or that little phrase in the Constitution that says "No Capitation, or other direct Tax, shall be laid...".
-- Or the fact that numerous Petitions to the IRS asking them to show the law that requires income tax to be paid have been ignored.
-- Or how about this?
The PRA ("Paperwork Reduction Act", 44 U.S.C. 3501) says in Section 3512 that "no person shall be subject to any penalty for failing to comply with an agency’s collection of information request, if the request does not display a valid control number assigned by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) in accordance with the requirements of the Act, or if the agency fails to inform the person who is to respond to the collection of information that he is not required to respond to the collection of information request unless it displays a valid control number."
*cough* 1040 *cough* (And this should have already been BIG news, folks!)
*sigh* I don't know about you, but...
I want my money back.
P.S. Please pray for Ed and Elaine Brown. If you're not someone who engages in prayer, then cross your fingers (and toes and eyes).
