Will My Work Be Copyrighted Or Licensed If I Submit It To The Patriot Files?
|
 |
You always retain the copyright for any material you submit on the PatriotCalendar website, including files shared to The Patriot Files file exchange.
During the process of upload to The Patriot Files, you will be given the opportunity to apply additional licensing (see Creative Commons at creativecommons.org) -- IF you wish.
Creative Commons licensing offers an easy way for you to give blanket authorization for others to use your work in certain manners, as specified by the type of license you choose to apply.
This circumvents the US copyright law requirement for each individual wishing to use your work to contact you to obtain your permission, provided the intent is to use the work in the manner you have specified.
