Notes : Some notes about Patriot Sites

We hope you'll be interested in trying out our Patriot Site Builder! It's brand new, so we expect to be making improvements to it in the future. (For instance, at this time there is only one "theme" available. We'll be adding additional themes to give you more style choices for your Patriot Site.)

Not familiar with RSS? Search Google for "RSS feeds". You'll find many websites that offer a special link (RSS) that provides news (or article or blog) syndication. (Personally, we don't recommend you get your news from MSM, as shown in our example.) If you create an RSS page on your Patriot Site, just copy the RSS feeds that interest you from around the web into the Patriot Site Builder (during the course of creating your Patriot Site RSS page.) You can list up to 5 different RSS links (the first 5 articles from each feed will be shown.)

You can insert pictures into the Header, Footer, or Regular pages that make up your Patriot Site. We haven't set a strict limit on how many pictures you can upload into Regular pages, but we ask that you kindly try not to go overboard. At this time, server costs are being covered by PatriotCalendar developer(s) and admin. We'll start fundraising a bit soon, and depending on our fundraising success, we hope all features on PatriotCalendar can be used fully. (Gallery Pages do have a limit of 10 pictures at this time. That limit can be raised once PatriotCalendar receives some financial support.)

We also plan to add Music Pages as an option.  Again, it will depend on financing.

P.S. If you would like to link to images you have previously uploaded to a photo sharing site (such as Flickr.com or PhotoBucket.com, link to your heart's content!

The Patriot Site Builder has only been alpha tested by one sleepless admin. Please bear with us if you find bugs. We'll get to them as soon as we can.

Sorry for the lack of documentation on how to use the Patriot Site Builder. We'll be filling that in soon, as well.
